Voyhood Dreams

Following Hardy's fantastic start to the season, staff and fans alike could be forgiven for dreaming of winning silverware this season. Voy Rangers visit Central Park this week and we posed some questions to player/manager Michael Kaylor ahead of the weekends game.

Before the season got underway, did you envisage making such a strong start? I hoped we would of course, but football is rarely that straightforward. The lads put fantastic effort into pre-season and that provided us with a great foundation. The four matches upto now have been very competitive. To be honest the results could have been completely different but credit to the team for sticking to the instructions and recording, what I consider, well deserved wins.

Do you think you could take the league title? It's far too early to be talking about winning leagues, cups et cetera but if you want to win the league, which everyone at the club does, then we're definitely going about it in the right way.

So another three points on Sunday? It would be foolish for me or anyone at the club to take this or any game lightly. I'm sure Voy Rangers will arrive here looking to steal our thunder. Sure they've had a tough opening to the season playing against two title contenders but they'll be desperate to kickstart their season on Sunday and it's my responsibility to get my players fully prepared and not be caught cold.

So Kaylor is remaining grounded despite his teams superb opening to the season as he realises that the bubble could burst quicker than it inflated. He has some players struggling to be fit for Sunday but we have already seen the depth of squad he has at his disposal.
